Does Steve Jobs iBook store hold a copy of Cyrano's science fiction novel?

We want to look beyond the horizon and see what is heading our way, just out of curiosity or to have a 'first mover' advantage. But we seem to forget that to know the future one must look back. Take for instance two manuscripts that circulated in the 1640's among the underground intelligentsia of that day, entitled Voyage dans la Lune (The Voyage to the Moon) and Voyage du Soleil (The Voyage to the Sun). They were written by Savinien de Cyrano aka Cyrano de Bergerac. Yes, the man really lived and is not just a musical character with a big nose. Indeed the heritage of Savinien de Cyrano suffers heavily from the romantic personage that the playwright Edmond Rostand created and that has inspired so many plays, movies and even Sesame Street ('Cyranose the Bergerac'). The 'real' Cyrano was among other things a professional writer, he published letters, plays and a two-volume science fiction novel.

By Thomas Tijdink on 12 April 2010I know that it's kind of predictable to write something about the iPad, but those who know me, know that I am hooked on all new Apple gadgets. iPad is Apple's newest gadget, a must-have for an addict such as myself. It is a multi touch tablet apparatus that's used for... well, we'll get back to that later. There's only one problem with it, but because the problem is related to it's usage, I'll get into that later as well. First a brief history how I became addicted to Apple.
